Overview
Marshall L. Smith’s current research highlights the cultural production born out of the entanglements of landscapes, human bodies, and other ecologies on the post-plantation in the circum-Caribbean. Smith’s pedagogical and research interests also include race formation during the Enlightenment Period, cross-cultural encounters in the Americas, comparative Anglophone/Francophone Caribbean and African American Literature as well as the intersections of Postcolonial and Queer Theory.
